Blogging

Way back 2007 (I think) but most probably high school, I finally found a platform that would become the outlet of my feelings, and that is blogging. I have made tons of blog accounts from different blog websites and for the record, I can't even count how many blogs I did in the past years but recently, I became inactive to the blogging world because I focused more on my studies. I became way to busy with school works and with my life. This summer, I just missed having a blog so I decided to revive this one - pull out some of my old posts and kept some, revamped it and I do hope this would be for keeps. I kept saying this in the past but look how inconsistent I am.

This blog would be for my personal posts and anything about me and please do follow my other blog which is on Tumblr - Click here - mainly composed of photos, reblogs and personal write ups. :">

Happy Summer! x

Tourism Travel Mart 22nd QuizBee!

Just a while ago, I've been given a chance to compete for a regional level of Tourism Travel Mart Quiz bee. We've competed individually, but there were 3 of us who represented our university in the Tourism department. I'm glad my professor have trusted me on this one. Although I didn't make it to the finals, still I'm glad I've had the experience PLUS we even met the DOT Secretary Mr. Alberto Lim. I'm so much star-strucked that he is super tall and very respectable. It was such an honor. Then our contenders usually came from the universities in Metro Manila and most of them are already in their 3rd and 4th year, so most of the questions came from lessons we didn't took up yet (like Tour Costing, Tour Operations, etc...). So it was okay, as I'm not expecting to win, what I'm after is the experience that I already know the mechanics and so on. New friends, mixed emotions, fun fun fun! :-)

Enjoying my sophomore year so far!

HONGKONG! ♥

Travelling helps you experience life. :) Here are few of my photos from our HK trip:

Just arrived at the HK airport. But first, I'd like to share my plane experience: Met some chinese guy that seemed to like me (asked for my Facebook and where we'd stay in HK and until when and a lot of things) then I was like uncomfortable at the plane the whole time. My seat is apart from the rest of the group so talk about how unlucky I am! Then when I was about to board off, I got dizzy and threw up first time! Then that picture shows how I was totally excited that time to explore HK.

Formerly Dorsett Hotel, this Silka Hotel is the place where we checked in and stayed for 3 nights. At first, I disliked the ambiance but as I got used to it, t'was okay.

That is the first restaurant or canteen maybe, that we had eaten for dinner during our first evening at Hongkong. I loathe the taste of their soup but I totally loved the fried rice and the fish (in the picture). Super yummy! I also found out that Chinese are very fond of spicy food.

2nd Day - City Tour. That pictures above was taken at the Avenue of the Stars wherein the most famous Chinese people like Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee had statues and some fingerprints. The buildings there behind were the tall buildings of different big companies like Epson, Panasonic, Sony, etc.

That was me exploring the Seibu mall where every girl you'd encounter is cute and fashionable - talk about going lesbo!

Awww, this is the part that I'd definitely miss the most about Hongkong. The endless walk trips to streets and roads. I could still recall going night market at Mongkok, eating at a nearby restaurant. Then I remember that every night, we'll get lost at the city and then we'll ask the people there (taxi drivers, sales ladies, etc.) how to get back to our hotel and they cannot understand English! WTF right? The streets look so alike that we just thought we passed there but nah. Haha! I'll miss the busy streets, we getting lost, the fair skinned-chinky eyed-slim people and all!

DISNEEEEY! Everyone's paradise. The dream place! I have dreamt of going there since I was young! and there, I finally got there. I so love the place, but not the climate. It was so hot and crowded there that I was sunburned. But heck, once in a lifetime experience shouldn't be ruined, right?

I love Minnie mouse! ♥

The Disney princess. They are so gorgeous! Ever since I was a kid, I loved a disney princess and wished I was one. I was like WOW! They are soooo pretty! :-)

Me and my siblings standing at a line for a Space Mountain ride! The reason my voice had gone lost!

My dream ever since!

I miss having McDo breakfast! Sausage McMuffin + Hash brown + pancake + hot choco = SOLVE!

at the room! Me and my sister are doing camera vanity, striking silly poses!

Those are my grandparents who went with us.

I just love pandas! From Ocean Park. :)

Ocean park! Larger than I expected. It was a great place too but like I said, it was hot out there so yeah... But over-all, I enjoyed! The cable car, the rides, the views, the food! Everything!

Disney train! I love it. It was our transportation from Disneyland to Mongkok. From the window, to the seats, to the handrails, everything is Disney-ish!

..and the rest was history. So anyway...

That was me just got to the HK airport. Ready to head home!

I love this Hongkong trip! Extraordinary experience... forever a memory! ♥
